We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our cat family.
Singapuras
Singapura's (they were our first choice for breeding a number of years ago). We visited the Supreme at the NEC and our intentions were to check out the British Blue's, then we got introduced to the Singapura..... Wowwww what a fantastic cat this was, we had never heard of them prior to this and was absolutely bowled over by them. It took us only a few days to track down a breeder with kittens and we went from their. Our family of Singapuras grew and we had a number of queens and eventually our own stud boy. Over the years our personal experiences with breeding them has not been too easy. It is now our plan to cease breeding with the Singapuras and have a house full of pets...... (they are lovely, active, and just love us humans)
Our Singapuras are: Pheobe, Tyler, Millie, Bella, Boo and Yogi (Bella has just had 3 kittens (2 boys and a girl))
Ragdoll
Our first pedigree cat was our Ragdoll, Marnie.... he had to be the prettiest male cat we ever saw, a little aloof in the early days but he has changed over the years and can be quite a lap cat, and is so typical of the Ragdoll, when you pick him up he just flops, feels like he wouldn't be able to stand on his own feet when you put him back down.
Our Ragdoll is: Marnie
Asians
Whilst taking one of our Ocicat queens to be mated, we stumbled upon a litter of Asians, and Lola being the most adorable of the bunch, we just had to have her. She is now a loved member of our cat family, that's when she isn't being mischieveous (she is like a naughty little girl - if its naughty she will do it - and she loves to do somersaults when you stroke her)..... she does make us smile :-)
Our Asian is: Lola
Ocicats
When we first saw the Ocicat, it was like looking at a miniture wild cat.... Theresa did a lot of reading and research on the breed and from talking to numerous people we decided that the Ocicat was in our opinion a better cat for breeding if we wanted to continue. Based on this we purchased our first female "Coco" who was also a show cat. She did well on the bench and in four outings achieved the status of Champion. In regard to breeding, she has given us a small number of litters and on one occassion got on with it, without our knowledge. How clever is she...... we kept one of her litter, "Lil" and used her to breed also. She was very similar to her mum and gave us a fantastic litter of 6 boys.
We purchased our own Stud cat "Cracker" and what a cracker he is! Great type, fantastic head, paws like a lion. He is so loveable and just loves his belly being tickled.
From Lil's litter we kept one of her boys "Jeff", he is just like his dad Cracker.... a gentle giant for want of better words.
We have recently added to the family, first by aquiring a chocolate classic girl "Amber", she is adorable with exquisite markings, and "Willo" a black silver spotted, she again is adorable and just loves to be cuddled and carried. We are looking forward to our new girls giving us some fantastic litters in the future.
Our Ocicats are: Coco, Lil, Jeff, Willo, Amber (who is a classic) and Cracker our study boy
Singapuras:
Temasek Kucinta (Boo Boo - pet)
Pawra Moonbeam (Phoebe - our first queen now a pet)
Winnothdale Willo the Wisp (Willo - breeding queen)
Thickthorn Butternut (Cracker - our Stud Boy)
Asian:
Vervain Phaedra (Lola - retired queen)
Ragdoll:
Trendypuss Amarni Macutio (Marnie - pet boy)
You may ask do all these cats get on with one another? The answer is yes they do, they have their moments but on the whole they get on really well. They eat, play and sleep together, a couple of them have there favourite laps and sometimes you can get as many as six or more sharing the sofa with you.
